Summer Camp
Our Summer Camp programs at Montessori on the Lake is a ton of fun and are always full. We have two age based groups; 5 - 7 year olds (5 year olds must have completed kindergarten) and 8 - 12 year olds. Summer camp includes weekly themed activities, off-campus excursions and on-campus special guests, as well as outdoor play. We include regular academic time to ensure children can maintain and build on important skills like math facts, reading, and writing.

Field trips may include San Juan Capistrano Mission, Long Beach Aquarium, San Diego Wild Animal Park, Laguna Beach, bowling alley, trampoline park, roller skating, and more.
June 9th - August 22nd*
5 - 7 year old age group - $350 per week - 8:30 am - 4:00 pm
8 - 12 year old age group - $375 per week - 8:30 am - 4:00 pm
Extended care for both age groups from 7 am - 6 pm is an additional $50 per week.
*Week 11 (August 18-22) is available exclusively for students enrolled in Montessori on the Lake or Sunflower Montessori in grades 1st - 8th for the 2025-26 school year.

Week 1: June 9 – 13
🚀 Space Explorers – Embark on a journey beyond our world! Discover the wonders of the universe through space-themed activities and games. Possible field trips & activities: A visit to the OC Planetarium, space-themed crafts, and interactive astronomy activities.
Week 2: June 16 – 20
🌿 Adventure in Nature – Connect with the beauty of the outdoors and learn about local ecosystems. Possible field trips & activities: A visit from a traveling naturalist, exploring the Sherman Library & Gardens, and nature walks.
Week 3: June 23 – 27
🧪 Science & Innovation – Engage in hands-on experiments that spark curiosity and creativity. Possible field trips & activities: Exploring the Discovery Cube, making slime, and taking on the Egg Drop Challenge.
Week 4: June 30 – July 3 (Closed July 4)
🕵️♂️ Mystery & Magic – Solve puzzles, unlock secrets, and experience the thrill of magic! Possible field trips & activities: A mystery-solving scavenger hunt, an escape room adventure, and a magic show.
Week 5: July 7 – 11
🎨 Artistic Expressions – Unleash your creativity through various art forms, from painting to music and dance. Possible field trips & activities: A visit to the Sawdust Festival, pottery painting, and mixed-media art projects.
Week 6: July 14 – 18
⚽ Let's Bounce & Roll! – Explore movement, gravity, and physics through high-energy activities. Possible field trips & activities: A trip to a trampoline park, roller skating, and making bouncy balls.
Week 7: July 21 – 25
🌊 Ocean Explorers – Dive into the world of marine life and ocean conservation. Possible field trips & activities: A visit to local tide pools, an exploration of the Ocean Institute, and learning about sea creatures.
Week 8: July 28 – August 1
🐾 Amazing Animals – Learn about fascinating animals from around the world. Possible field trips & activities: A trip to the Santa Ana Zoo, building birdhouses, and creating animal-inspired crafts.
Week 9: August 4 – 8
🏕️ The Great Outdoors – Develop outdoor survival skills, teamwork, and a love for nature. Possible field trips & activities: Hiking, compass navigation, and an obstacle course challenge.
Week 10: August 11 – 15
🌍 Eco Warriors – Learn about sustainability and protecting our planet. Possible field trips & activities: Visiting Tanaka Farms, participating in recycling projects, and starting a gardening project.
Week 11: August 18 – 22
👨🍳 Culinary Creations – Explore the fun and exciting world of cooking and baking. Possible field trips & activities: Hands-on cooking projects, baking challenges, and a visit to a local restaurant.
Campers in the 8 - 12 year old age group may visit the beach or a local pool on Fridays, depending on availability and scheduling.
